Shipwrecked on a remote beach, Ryan and Josh must overcome their differences in order to outwit a mysterious and dangerous new enemy. Meanwhile, Jarrah and Gabe search for Zuke.
It's been six months since Ryan and his friend got trapped on The Island so they build a raft but they got caught in a storm, the raft broke and they ended up on a new island and separated from each other. Josh and Ryan soon finds each other trapped in a hole, Jarrah and Gabe also finds each other and later Jarrah and Gabe find Zuke. Lilly and Em are also together but Natasha and the mystery girl (from the last episode of Trapped). Ryan and Josh get saved out of the hole by a girl named Saskia who's also trapped on the island but can you trust her?

Backstory: Abandoned on the island by Rob at the end of Trapped, the kids lived there for six months waiting for rescue or for their parents to return before attempting to leave on a homemade raft. Castaway begins with the kids in the water after the raft broke apart.
Notes: Joshua Hibble replaces Sam Fraser as Zuke. Production on Castaway concluded on December 9, 2009 and the series was in post production until March 31, 2010.

Behind the Mask
Em learns to control her fear and take a stand. Then, Saskia works her charms on Josh so she can infiltrate the group.
It's morning, Lily and Em goes out to find the others but when they take a shortcut over a field most covered in mud, Lily gets mud in her eye and tells Em to quick go and get water but instead of water, she finds three strangers in masks who starts to chase her. Meanwhile Josh starts to becomes friends with Saskia but Ryan is still not sure if he should trust her since she tried to steal the antidote.

Gabe's decision not to tell Jarrah and Zuke about the strangers in the bush has devastating consequences. When Ryan's drive to find Natasha pushes his friends to breaking point, he is forced to go on alone. Then, Josh's heart is broken when Saskia's true colours are revealed.
Gabe went away to get some fruit but instead, he found the strangers in masks but he doesn't tell Jarrah and Zuke but later the strangers kidnap Zuke. Lily and Em are finally together with Ryan and Josh but Saskia is also there and she seems to know the strangers in masks.

Ryan helps his friends escape from the community, only to discover that it has a link to Dr Hamilton that can only be uncovered by staying. Then, Saskia makes her feelings clear to Josh, but her attempt to lure Max out of camp raises questions about her true motives.
The strangers in masks has captured Ryan and his friends (Natasha and mystery girl not included) with some assistance from Saskia and they have been captured in a cage in a camp full of kids and no adults. Saskia has stolen the antidote so later when Ryan has escaped he gets a disguise and come back to the camp to save his friends and get back the antidote.

To protect himself from his feelings for Saskia, Josh lashes out at the community, unaware that Saskia is working on a plan to keep them together. Meanwhile, Ryan has to join forces with Saskia to try to discover a connection between the community and Dr Hamilton. Then, rattled from finding out that the newcomers are linked to Enterprise, Dionne's stoic mask drops to reveal her vulnerabilities.
Ryan has the antidote again and he has also decided that they are going to stay at the camp for a while. Later they participate in a ritual and during the ritual, Ryan and his friends find out that the other kids in the camp also are kids to scientists who Dr Hamilton has imprisoned.

The Point of No Return
After Dionne shows Ryan the tragic consequences that have befallen those trying to cross the desert, Ryan disposes of the antidote to stop everybody leaving, only to discover the hope it symbolises. Em discovers the reason behind the community's strict rules when a prank has unforeseen consequences.
Ryan and his friends are preparing to leave but there not the only people preparing since all the other kids also wants to join them since they think the antidote is magical and can protect them. The leader Dionne is against the other kids leaving and she shows Ryan that some other kids that tried to leave the camp where found dead. Meanwhile, Em and her friend Max (Jacob Clarke) play pranks and get in trouble.

Gabe is distraught when he discovers the truth about his mother. Then, Jarrah realises that she still has strong feelings for Ryan.
To protect the kids, Ryan has thrown away the antidote but later he goes to search for it, he finds the enterprise package but he pretends that he found it. It's a new day and Lily, Josh, Gabe, Dionne and some other kids are on a journey for honey but they also find a carriage that belonged to a woman named Cath and her daughter but there's no sign of them.

Lily and Dionne's friendship is tested when Lily discovers that Dionne has the antidote. Saskia is distracted from her main mission by her feelings for Josh. Jarrah and Ryan work together to retrieve the antidote, only to find themselves banished from the community forever.
They don't find Cath and her daughter but they found out something else, Cath's last name is Schwartz and she's Gabe's mother. A few days later, back in camp, Ryan finds out that Dionne has the antidote and Dionne says that if he tells anyone about it, she will pour it out. Meanwhile Saskia is trying to become friends with Josh again but Josh is still seems to hate her so Em and Gemma (Logan Deiley) tries to solve it by putting them in the cage.

Fearful of losing Ryan, Jarrah chooses not to tell him when she discovers an injured Natasha in the bush.
Ryan and Jarrah have been kicked out of the camp without the antidote but Saskia steals it, gives it to Josh and he gives it to Ryan. When Ryan got the antidote, they start their trip to find Dr. Hamilton but they notice that they are followed but Ryan finds out that it's Gabe. Gabe is there because he wants the antidote and after some discussion, Ryan gives it to him. Meanwhile, Jarrah is out looking for water but instead she finds Natasha and the Mystery Girl who's called Hope (Luisa Mitchell). Natasha has injured her ankle so Jarrah says she will go and get Ryan but is she really going to tell Ryan.

Love Bites
Ryan is guilt-ridden when a life-or-death situation pushes him closer to Jarrah. Meanwhile, Natasha's relief at being reunited with her friends is short-lived when she suspects that something has happened between Ryan and Jarrah.
Natasha and Hope are lucky because while Jarrah didn't tell Ryan and Gabe about Natasha and Hope, Gabe found them and helped them to get to the camp. Jarrah and Ryan continue their journey but need to return to camp since Jarrah has been bitten by a snake. Back at camp they help Natasha with her ankle and to cheer her up, they invent and perform a play about how much Ryan misses her.

Pressured by the Snatchers to arrange another abduction, Saskia comes to realise the terrible consequences of her actions.
There is some trouble back in camp, Ryan has love trouble with Natasha and Jarrah and there are some kidnappers tying to kidnap the kids and the kidnappers seems to have some assistance from Saskia. Besides this there are some extra love trouble, Sasika and Josh are a couple but Lily has started to like Josh too. In the end, two of these troubles are over, the kidnappers kidnapped Tom (Louis Biggs) and Natasha breaks up with Ryan.

When Saskia is revealed to be one of the Snatchers, she attempts to make amends. When this fails, she is left with no choice but to leave the community.
Lily and Jarrah are getting really suspicious and they know there's something wrong about Saskia. They go to through her stuff and finds a codebook but when Saskia finds out she throws it in the fire and then Lily and Jarrah really knows there is something wrong. Later they find a note written in Morse code and with help from Zuke, they have real evidence that she works with the kidnappers.

t's almost time to leave the camp but a house falls down and since Zuke accidentally made the house fall, they stay to re-build the house. Zuke tells Em about how he made the house fall and that he doesn't wants to leave the camp since he also knows about the kids who died. Later their carriage also break and it was Zuke this time also. Jarrah decides that she and Zuke will stay. Meanwhile, Natasha tries to get the kids to stop being afraid for Dr. Hamilton but it ends up with Natasha telling them that she is his daughter.

When Natasha's behaviour towards Ryan causes him to become jealous, she is forced to reveal her true feelings.
Ryan, Natasha, Gabe, Josh and Lily has left Jarrah, Zuke, Em and the other kids at the camp and begins their journey to the Enterprise base where they hope to find their families. At the beginning of the journey it turns out that Em has followed them since they left the camp and after some arguing with Lily, she gets to stay. Natasha and Ryan are still fighting but to solve it, Lily and Josh sends them to find water. Instead of water, Natasha, Gabe and Ryan finds an old Enterprise base that also was the base where the kids back in camp came from.

Later they get to the enterprise base and find out that there's no adults there at all and Ryan then meets the leader Eli Fox, a friend of Natasha. Meanwhile Josh and Lily kiss but it doesn't turn out well and Lily tells Em it was like kissing a brother.

Ryan and his friends knows there's something wrong about the base since there's only kids working there but Natasha says they do it by free will. Ryan is snooping around to find real evidence but instead he accidentally destroys two weeks of research. Meanwhile Lily finds out that she doesn't like Josh anymore but she doesn't break up with him since she doesn't want him to get back with Saskia. Unfortunately, Josh hear Lily talking to Em about all of this.

When Eli learns about the existence of the antidote, he manipulates the situation to secure it in his possession. Ryan tries to cheer up Bonnie after she is bitten by a sea snake.
Josh is helping a girl called Bonnie (Baillie Millar) with some algae but as a joke, he pushes her into the water. Unfortunately, she gets stunned by a jellyfish. Eli decides that she should rest and to cheer her up, Josh plays charades and hangman but she doesn't seems happier. Later Eli finds out about the antidote and he seems to be really interested and when Natasha tells him about there carriage so Eli decides that they should go out and find it. They find the carriage and Ryan tells Eli that the antidote is gone but he has actually just hidden it. Eli, Sasskia and Bonnie then pretend that Bonnie has gone into shock and cure her with an antidote of their own. Ryan falls for the act and believes they no longer need the antidote. With Ryan's guard down, Eli steals the antidote from him.

When Gabe discovers that Bonnie is his sister, she begins to open up to him, only to be shut down by Peter.
Gabe finds Bonnie in there tent and she sees her stealing something and after looking in her locker they find out that she stole a walkie-talkie and also that her real name is Ebony and she's Gabe's sister. Later when he tries to tell Ebony that he's her brother but she calls him a liar but later she believes him. Meanwhile, Ryan is helping Eli with some algae because it would mean a lot to Natasha if he did. After getting stunned by some algae and being rescued by Eli he changes his mind about him but it doesn't last long because Gabe, Lily and Em tells him that the kids at the base only works there because if don't, they will never see their parents again.

Natasha, confused about her relationship with Ryan, discovers Eli has lied to her about the antidote.
After Ryan and the others finds out that the kids work there to be able to meet their parents again, Ryan and his friends are trying to come up with a plan that will make sure that they get to meet their parents again. Ryan comes up with the idea of stealing some algae and use them to make a deal with Eli but it was a bad plan, which they understand after Tom finds out and tells them that the algae needs to be kept in a cold environment or else they will rot.

When the snatchers return to the community, Jarrah sacrifices herself to save Zuke.
Natasha finds the antidote on Eli's desk so she starts to realize that Ryan was right about him but thanks to Saskia telling Natasha that Eli has a crush on her, it gets back to normal. After all this trouble, more trouble comes since they only have a few days to finish their work. Eli decides that they should go to camp but Saskia doesn't seem to like the idea and later she tricks Eli into telling her about that he didn't like Natasha for real while Natasha was listening. Meanwhile back in camp, there has been wildfire so they are repairing the houses but when they take a break, they find out that they won't be able to finish it since the kidnappers shows up. They manage to kidnap Zuke and Jarrah while the others hide in a cave, later Jarrah manage to stop the engine so Zuke can escape and she being the only one they kidnap.

Josh sees Saskia in a new light when they head back to the community to seek help from Dionne and the kids.
The work at the base is done and the boats are coming to pick up all the kids, or at least that's what the kids think. There is only 1 boat that will come and it's reserved for Eli and Natasha, the rest of the kids will be left at the base for the rest of their life. Saskia finds out about it that they will be left there (but not about that there will be only one boat) and She decides that Josh and her self are going back to the camp to convince Dionne, Zuke and the other kids to leave the camp and help them with hijack the boats.

As the hovercraft draws nearer, a desperate struggle erupts between Natasha, Eli, Gabe and Ryan to gain control of the antidote.
Josh and Saskia has arrived to the camp and after showing the kids some files about their families, they manage to convince them to join them back at the base. They start to transport some of the kids to the base but then, when the engine breaks, the rest of the kids, Josh and Saskia included, has to walk all the way back to the base. Meanwhile at the base, Ryan has find out about the boat plan and he ruins all the algae in anger. Bonnie finds out about that there will be only 1 boat and that it will stop at another beach they've been told so Eli lock her up.

Natasha joins forces with Eli to find her father, but by the time she succeeds she discovers that it may be too late to save his life.
The only boat has left and the only passengers are Eli and Natasha, they get to the enterprice base but get thrown out because they don't have any algae and because Dr. Hamilton doesn't want to be disturbed by his family during he's work. Meanwhile, the boat back at the base is fixed so while the rest of the kids starts to walk to the city, Josh and Ryan starts to go by boat to the city where Dr. Hamilton but the boat breaks and then they get rescued by a fisherman but for real, he's working for Dr. Hamilton. They get chased through the city and in the end they get caught and locked up but Eli and another guy called Marcus (Nick Britton) but they was searching for the antidote which they didn't have because Natasha has given it to Gabe.

When Eli tries to escape with the antidote, Ryan and Natasha hunt him down.
All the kids has arrived at Dr. Hamilton's base and they hide in a big storage room while Lily, Em, Josh and Saskia goes searching for their parents and Ryan and Gabe goes searching for Dr. Hamilton. Lily and Em finds Gabe's mom, and Eli finds Gabe and Ryan but he says that Natasha is the one who wants the antidote because he has tried one of his antidotes on himself and he's dying. They manage to get to him in time but Eli wants a drop of the antidote but when Natasha says no, he steals it and runs away. Lily finds everyone's parents locked up in another storage room and with Saskia and Josh they release everyone and reunite. Meanwhile Natasha and Ryan get on a boat and chase Eli and drive him back to shore where Ryan tackles him to the ground and almost all the antidote spills out. There is only one drop left and Natasha uses it to save her dying father. Dr. Hamilton wakes up and apologizes to his daughter.
